Adventure Office has released the new version of the www.adventureoffice.com website.

March 8th release

The March 8th release was successfully completed last night! Some enhancements made available are:
Quick Calendar
Exportable Marketing List
Added departure times to a multitude of views.
A promotion can now be attached to a booking.
The on-line search process now waits until a party size has been entered.
Day of the week now appears in booking process.
Replicate Activity allows for quicker building of a new activity.
Modified the email preview so that the email shows up in a new window.
Added the Ability to call a customer using Skype from within the customer details.Added the new editor to more pages.
Effective Date is now displayed along with the rate information.
Expanded Activity Color Flags.
"Owned by" can be assigned within the customer inquiry.
Expired discounts no longer appear.
Updated the customer menu and added a screen to manage sales leads.
Updated the tab order on the reservation.
Division setup has been modified so that the parent’s name is shown.

Adventure Office Tech Tip

Here is an extremely handy tech tip.

When using the smart search box, you may enter wildcards symbol. Say you have a guest named Al. You cannot search for “Al” because 4 characters are required for the smart shearch. However “Al%%” will work in that there are now 4 characters where the % means any character or characters. Another example would be Dave and David. If you are unsure which you are looking for, enter Dav%. Use % anytime you are unsure of a letter or set of letters. Dave Butterfield will then be returned. The way this works is--the “%” symbol is a wild card taking the place of 1 or more letters.

January release runs on Safari

Over the past few days we have worked very hard to make sure the January release works well on Safari, IE, and Fire Fox browsers. The feedback so far has been exceptional; the January release does run on Safari with Macs.

The team at Adventure Office decided to wait on last Monday’s release due to some issues with the Safari browser. Given that we were not 100% sure some of the core components of our application ran on Safari for Macs, we decided to delay the release and do further testing.
